The Sampson Obot Memorial Scholarship Program - honoring the life and legacy of Sampson Obot through educational scholarships

The Sampson Obot Memorial Scholarship (SOMS) Program is dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Chief Sampson Simon Obot, a man known for his humility, generosity, and unwavering commitment to education and community service. Chief Obot dedicated his life to helping others, and through SOMS, his legacy will continue to empower future generations.
The program is designed to provide educational opportunities to high school graduates from the only public secondary school in Chief Obot's community—Community Secondary School, Idung Iniang, Eket LGA, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The SOMS Program supports students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a dedication to community service—values that reflect Chief Obot's life.
Through the SOMS Program, Chief Sampson Simon Obot’s legacy of integrity, compassion, and dedication to education will continue to shape the lives of students and uplift his community. As the program grows, we invite individuals, businesses, and philanthropic organizations to join us in expanding its reach. Together, we can double the number of scholarship opportunities available, ensuring that even more students benefit from the transformative power of education.
