Build-a-School Initiative was born out of a need. A need that drives us to dare. To believe that "All children, no matter where they live or what their circumstances, have the right to quality education, especially in Africa."


We envision a world where no child is left behind in getting education in a safe and comfortable environment. To help create that world, Build-a-School Initiative  is dedicated to creating, building or restoring school buildings all across Africa.


We realize this is a daunting task, especially when you consider the amount of needs that we see all around Africa. However, we are not deterred because we know that with strong partnerships with donors like you, our corporate partners, community leaders and good people around the world, we can bring the hope of education to millions of children, one school building at a time.

Our mission is to facilitate, accelerate, amplify, and provide world-class educational infrastructures for children in Africa’s poorest communities.

Build-a-School Initiative mission is to execute awareness campaigns to bring the plight of African children learning environment to the forefront of discourse, while providing a platform to overhauling failed educational buildings around Africa.


Our mission is to empower teachers, that needs direction and support, uplift the learning environment, and incorporate exclusive plans tailored towards elevating schools. We believe in delivering value, result-oriented, and well-mapped services by becoming an integral part of the educational model by driving out challenges and adding value.

The why behind the story of Build-a-School Initiative

The success of any country is in its strong educational system that will result in a better life for its citizens. Quality education results in higher average incomes which enable people to enjoy a better standard of living and quality of life. 


Unfortunately, currently, Africa is significantly behind others in nearly all education statistics. Of all regions, sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rates of education exclusion. Over one-fifth of children between the ages of about 6 and 11 are out of school, followed by one-third of youth between the ages of about 12 and 14. Almost 60% of youth between the ages of about 15 and 17 are not in school resulting in millions of youth waking up to no education, no financial resources to feed families leading them to hopelessness and despair. They spend all their prime years putting their dignity at stake searching and failing to find opportunities to grow and create a better life for themselves and their families. 


Today, technology is raising the bar even higher when it comes to entry qualifications for several jobs. As such, many children in Africa do not meet the entry specifications required to secure the careers of the future. For instance, the youth do not have the necessary technological knowledge required by employers. They are less advantaged, schools lack fundamental pleasantries, for example, basic necessities like quality education, consumable water, safe classrooms is out of the reach for many of the children in impoverished communities across Africa. Seven out of ten nations are confronting an intense deficiency of quality teaching staff and teaching support resources.



Hope does not disappoint


Build-a-School Initiative has stepped up to became that ray of hope since 2018 for our children by providing opportunities and helping the education sector with a platform for providing safe learning classrooms, technologically empowered schools, in-school food security, and providing access to modern training engaging the teachers positively. Our focus is to be the bridge between quality education and African children resulting in a Major Educational Boost for the region. Our mission is creating a Technological Empowered youth, train teachers to equip children with the latest technology so that they can compete with students all over the world and have an equal opportunity to progress and create the life that they dream and deserve. 


Build-a-School Initiative plays a vital role by linking up generous donors towards schools that need support in development to help them reach the next level. Our focus is to provide schools with all the necessary and basic services which our children are entitled to as human beings. Our goal is to provide quality in-school food alongside education keeping their self-respect and dignity intact. It matters to us to uphold our African culture of strong brotherhood and provide opportunities that are of utmost respect and creates hope.


Build-a-School Initiative was founded with a vision to uplift and build schools across Africa and aiding in enhancing their classrooms by utilizing our services. Our organization provides exclusive international experts who work closely with us to analyze and provide technological solutions to solve challenges. Gaining technological knowledge would rapidly increase and open new doors of employment for our youth resulting in a better standard of living.
