Laura spent over four years teaching in a public school, where she developed deep interest in child education. In her profession, she oversees project expenditure and budgeting. She supports her husband in his calling as a Stake President, and also volunteers in helping out of school students to receive basic education that can prepare them to return back to school in the future. 

She is Financial Controller for BASIA, Liaises with local vendors to obtain affordable building materials. Laura works with the Program Director and Project Consultants to determine affordable means of executing school projects. She also audits project expenses and disburses funds for approved projects.
